Iran won’t ever seek nuclear weapons, says Rohani

September 19, 2013
Toronto Star

The U.S has suspected that Iran has and is trying to develop nuclear weapons. Iranian President Hasan Rouhani claims that his country has never made any nuclear bombs. On Wednesday in Tehran, Hasan Rouhani spoke to the American Television Network and stated "We have never pursued or sought a nuclear bomb and we are not going to do so." "We have time and time again said that under no circumstances would we seek any weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear weapons, nor will we ever"

I believe that the U.S shouldn't make any military actions yet on Iran, but still keep watch over them just in case they do have any nuclear weapons. But if the U.S makes any military actions on Iran or keeps pressuring them to show their weapons, this could possibly start another war.

Navy Yard shooting: What we know and don't know

September 17, 2013
CNN

On Monday, September 16 an IT contractor named Aaron Alexis walked into Building 197 which is a Navy Yard Building in Washington, and murdered 12 people. We don't why he walked in and killed all those people but we do know that he used to work for the navy, but was discharged in 2010 for insubordination and unauthorized absences. We also know that Aaron was suffering from post traumatic stress disorder from trying to help rescue civilians from the 9/11 attacks back in 2001.
In recent years after being discharged, he appeared to be very troubled . He was hearing voices and having problems sleeping. Then on August 7th, there was a complaint at a Marriott Hotel in Rhode Island involving Aaron Alexis. Apparently he was being followed by 3 people who had followed him to the hotel and were talking to him through the walls and floor by using a "machine" to send vibrations to prevent him from sleeping. The police then contacted the Navy and the FBI asking them if they had anything to do with this but they both had no comment in the situation

I think that Aaron Alexis was going through a very rough time and was mentally breaking down. Also, that he may have believed that the Navy sent the men to follow him around the hotels and that is why he reacted by attacking the Navy Yard Building in Washington and murdering 12 people.

Syria crisis: Barack Obama puts military strike on hold

September 11, 2013
BBC News

President Barack Obama has decided to put his military actions against Syria on hold so that they can remove them of their chemical weapons, but in a more peaceful way. The US has been suspecting that Syria was holding chemical weapons for a while now and Damascus has finally admitted that they have been holding chemical weapons. Syria has agreed to abide with Russia's plan to hand over their chemical weapons. But President Obama has ordered the military to maintain their current position to keep pressure on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and to be in position to attack if diplomacy fails.

I think that if the Syrian's don't hand over their chemical weapons, The US should fight against the Syrians until they find their chemical weapons and destroy them. I believe this should happen because many people in Syria have already died from these chemical weapons and if the US doesn't do anything to stop them Syria will start using them against other countries and it will lead to destruction
